Our boys are under attack from cultural “snipers” who have them in their sights (internet porn, Hollywood role models, peer pressure, rebellion from within, cultural music). There is a strategy weekend planned that will prepare fathers and middle school–age sons for the battle.
Boys will learn to: embrace purity, respect others, overcome fear, exercise self–control, learn to lead. Briefings (short talks) coupled with exciting and fun activities will prepare young warriors for victory.
Speakers include a fighter pilot, a blind football player and some “wounded soldiers” who lived through some tough battles.
When: Friday, August 22–sunday, august 24
Place: Country Lake Christian Retreat Center
Bring: bedding, towel, man–gear (clothes to get dirty), swim trunks
Prepare: Be advised, Mature topics to be discussed.
Travel: shuttle or caravan from Northside Christian Church parking lot at 5pm, Friday, August 22. Return by 3pm, Sunday, August 24.
Cost: $50 per Person.
