A Note From Christi     Women's Discipleship Minister

    Life just seems crazy sometimes doesn’t it?  I mean from the time our feet hit the floor, we are thinking about soccer practice, homework, matching socks, dishes, laundry, what to make for dinner (something that doesn’t involve golden arches or freezer burn), bible study, whether or not our kids are involved in enough activities, our parents’ needs, and certainly our husband’s, right?  

    

     And what about our friends?  I personally can’t remember the last time I went out with some girlfriends which is something I really love and need to do!  These are just a few things that run through many women’s minds during the first 30 minutes of the day.   It seems like our mind is constantly consumed with what we need to do or what we haven’t done yet.  

    Well, ladies, I want you to do something with me.   Are you ready?  I know you can do it but it’s going to be hard for all of us!  Clear your mind completely for the next few minutes.  Now stop laughing and give it a try!  We owe it to ourselves to give our poor little minds a break every now and then!  

    I want us to focus on one thing right now, actually one person, OUR SAVIOR.  Oh, how he longs to hear our sweet voice talk to Him and lift up all of those thoughts that we have throughout the day to Him so that He can carry them for us. What an amazing father we have! Oh, how I wish I could see your sweet faces as you rest in our amazing God’s arms!

    This year our goal in the Women’s Ministry is to Simplify!  Here is what it means to simplify:  to make less complex or complicated; make plainer or easier: to simplify a problem.  It is our heart’s desire this year to provide you with programs that will help you to simply get to know our Savior better!  Our heart wants desperately for you to know Him more tomorrow than you do today!  That is simply our goal for you within this next year!  That you would grow more in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior and that He, through His spirit would,

“…remain in you.  No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine.  Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.  I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5

 

     It is our passion and purpose of the Women’s Leadership Team to connect women with women and so together, “live a life worthy of the Lord, pleasing Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:10
