2016 Dominican Republic Mission Trip Day #3

Today was nothing short of a miracle from God!  If you're following this DR team, then you're probably also following the weather.  Forecast here was 90% chance of thunderstorms--all day. Some reports said 100%. So we prepared for an unproductive day on the build sites, potentially setting us back a day to get the projects completed. However, would you believe we had ZERO rain?!  Yes, nada!  A sprinkle was felt once but that's it.

So check out this weather radar photo. We're located in the middle of that clear area between the two major hot spots of the storm.  And as the storm rotated, we remained in that clear area...all day. Unbelievable!  In addition, we experienced an overcast day, which blocked the heat of the sun, making it an absolutely perfect day and amazingly productive. God answered prayers!

Beyond that, every work team (minus sports camp which still had wet fields), experienced another productive day and countless blessings.

Each of the clinics saw over 100 patients.

The girls' Princesas groups nearly doubled the participation of girls from yesterday.

Most of the build teams are now talking about having their houses completed by end of day Wednesday--one day early! Scott Ham, one of our build team leaders, gives us this update:

Everything is going great! We are being blessed more than we ever imagined and finding out that the villages and communities are pitching in to help build a home for these wonderful people. We have let the local pastors come and pray over the Americans and all the locals that join us at the beginning of the day, and it is very inspirational! Everyone is excited to dedicate these homes as a gift from Christ.

It was an unbelievable day! Your prayers were definitley felt and answered, and we ask that you keep them coming!
