This week is based on the “Struggle of Approval” sermon from the Saints & Struggles series. We are focusing on how God helps us in the midst of struggles. Slow down, read the text, and then let it read you…
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:16 (NIV)
Through Christ we are approved. Through Christ we have the confidence to draw near to God. Because of this approval, we pursue a life of living in response. Paul said it best, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” But, we have a tendency to prioritize the approval of others over a life pleasing God. The good news, there is Grace. If you were to prioritize seeking God’s approval over the approval of others, how might that change your life and relationships?
