This week is based on the “Struggle of Suffering” sermon from the Saints & Struggles series. We are focusing on how God helps us in the midst of struggles. Slow down, read the text, and then let it read you…
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:26-28 (NIV)
If you are in a season of suffering, are you praying about it? Even when we can’t come up with the words, the Holy Spirit knows the groans of our hearts and intercedes for us. Take a moment to pray over the suffering you are facing right now. If you don’t have the words, sit in silence and let the Holy Spirit do the talking.
