Unsung Heroes: July 19

This week’s readings are based on the Unsung Heroes sermon series. This season, we are looking at some of the lesser-known heroes of the faith, seeing the big impact they had, and understanding how we can learn from their example. Slow down, read the text, and then let it read you.

Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven. Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.”

Daniel 2:19-22 (NKJV)

God gave Daniel the very special skill of interpreting dreams. In today’s day and age, we continually see men and women who were given very special skills and talents take all the credit and glorify themselves instead of God, who is the Giver of those gifts. We have all been given certain gifts, talents, and abilities by God. What gift have you received from God for which you can give Him glory today?
