Saints & Struggles: April 27

This week’s readings are based on the “Struggle of Failure” sermon from the Saints & Struggles series. This season, we want to focus on how God helps us in the midst of struggles. Slow down, read the text, and then let it read you…

“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you”
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT)

“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 (NLT)

The fear of failure is sometimes worse than actually failing. The root of that fear is often buried in a host of insecurities: what will other people think of me? What if I am not capable? What if I get hurt? God promises to walk with us through success and failures. What insecurities fuel your fear of failure? Where do you need to hear the words, “be strong and courageous”?
