This week’s readings are based on the “Struggle of Failure” sermon from the Saints & Struggles series. This season, we want to focus on how God helps us in the midst of struggles. Slow down, read the text, and then let it read you…
“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.”
Psalm 40:1-3 (NIV)
Failure is an event, not a person. We tend to let our failures become our identity. Failure doesn’t define us, God does. This means that all our failures can be redeemed. Big or small, redeemed failures, often become our stories of God’s faithfulness. How has God been faithful in the midst of your failures? How can you share your story of God’s faithfulness with someone this week?
