When summertime comes each year, it’s a great chance to unplug and disconnect from your regular routine and schedule. But don’t let that be the case in your relationship with Jesus. We've collected some resources below to help you stay engaged and grow in your relationship with Jesus throughout the summer.

One of the best ways to stay engaged with Scripture is to use a Bible reading plan. Below are plans that you won’t regret committing to for summer. If you’re having trouble knowing where to start when it comes to reading the Bible, jump into one of the reading plans below!

The Bible Recap: New Testament reading plan (92 days) follows the story of Scripture as the events occurred. This plan corresponds to The Bible Recap podcast. START HERE

The Bible Project | Gospels reading plan (90 days)takes you through the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in ninety days. Each book includes videos specifically designed to enhance your understanding of the Gospels. START HERE

The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry reading plan (5 days) provides you with four down-to-earth practices for staying emotionally healthy and spiritually alive. START HERE

The Winning the War in Your Mind reading plan (7 days) will help you discover how to fight toxic thoughts, overcome out-of-control thinking, and start winning the war in your mind using God’s truth as your battle plan. START HERE

The Find Your People reading plan (7 days) will show you that even when you feel utterly alone, God designed you to be in relationships. Even in our brokenness, it’s possible to thrive—together. START HERE

Here are a few recommendations for books that should be on your summer reading list. Regardless of how you engage, we pray that these titles encourage, challenge, and sharpen you as you live out your faith.

Good leaders lead. Great leaders grow. This summer, Northside is hosting four Saturday opportunities for you to grow in an area of your journey with Jesus. Our guides for these Summer Seminars will be some of the most well-respected leaders and pastors we know: Mark Moore (7/9), Larry Osborne (7/16), Efrem Smith (7/23), and Dave Stone (7/30).

Jesus said that faith the size of something as small as a mustard seed can make big things happen. When you think about accomplishing "great things" for God, sometimes it means being consistent or great in the small things. This summer, we're highlighting the Unsung Heroes in the Scriptures, individuals who we don't know much about ... but the impact they made too big to fathom.

Follow along with our weekend message series, Unsung Heroes, beginning the weekend of July 2 & 3.

Summertime doesn’t mean recovery takes a vacation. If you’re struggling with a hurt, habit, or hang-up, Celebrate Recovery will continue to meet on campus through the summer. It happens on Monday nights at 6:30pm at the Northside campus.
