Pastoral Care Minister
Adult Ministries Team
Tom was born in Urbana, IL and raised in Mahomet, IL. He lived for two years in Chicago and five years in Southern California but moved back to Central Illinois before moving here to Indiana. Tom received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois in 2000 and went on to get his Masters in Theology from Azusa Pacific University's Hagard School of Theology in 2008. Tom worked as an addictions counselor from 2000-2015 and from 2014-2018 he ran a pastoral counseling practice called Break Every Chain and he worked with the local housing authority. He also worked with the homeless as a case manager through a local homeless ministry called C-U @ Home. Tom has been married to the love of his life, Jessica, for twenty-one years and they have two awesome boys. When he is not at work, you can typically find him at home with his family, hiking, or bike riding. Tom loves his job because God created him to do this work and he feels most alive when he is helping others and building relationships with others. It is a real joy to be a part of what God is doing in their lives.
