Shawn Prokes was born in Cheboygan, MI, but grew up all over the U.S. because of his father's Coast Guard career. He originally studied at Lincoln Christian College and Illinois State University for dual degrees in Theology and Secondary Education. Later, he returned to school to get a third degree in Graphic Design from Illinois State. He's currently studying for his Master's in Leadership from Moody Seminary. Shawn has worked in ministry as a youth, young adult, and worship minister. He left ministry for a season and worked five years as an Art Director at an advertising agency. In the past eight years, Shawn has worked as a videographer and the Pastor of Communications at Eastview Christian Church. He has been married to his lovely wife Kari for 23 years, and they have three wonderful children (Ben, Jonah, and Mariah). He loves leading, being creative, and developing strategy in the context of ministry. He gets a thrill when using art and technology to reach people for Christ!
