Stephen McClure serves Northside Christian Church as a custodian, providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for every person who walks through our doors. With prior custodial experience at a local private school, Stephen brings a steady, professional excellence to his work each day. He was drawn to Northside after seeing a posting that felt like more than employment, but an invitation to become more closely connected to the Northside family. After two years of retirement, Stephen saw this role as a unique opportunity to pursue ministry, not just a job, and that purpose shows in the care he takes in supporting the life and mission of the church.
Outside of work, Stephen is a New Albany native, born and raised in the community he still calls home. He’s grateful for his angel of a wife, five children, and three dachshunds, so eight children really, as he likes to say. In his free time, you’ll often find him at the gym several times a week, out hunting or just admiring creation in the woods, or helping a lifelong friend on his farm. Stephen loves meeting new people and, most of all, sharing Jesus and talking about the Word of God with anyone who’s willing to listen.
