It's more than bolts and metal.

Every week under the roof of Northside, our God is worshipped; lives are connected to community; and salvation is found in Jesus.

When we talk about our Raise the Roof campaign, we think about all the stories this roof would tell if it could talk. It would tell you stories of:

  • Children who were taught about Jesus here who are now raising kids of their own to know Him and love Him.
  • Salvation being found in Jesus Christ, including the 585 who have given their lives to Christ in baptism this year.
  • Strongholds of anxiety, depression, and despair that have been broken down by the name of Jesus.

Our goal between Nov 8th and the end of the year is to raise 2.6 million dollars to fix our roof and end the year on budget. Reaching this goal means in 2026, we can continue to see more life change, more community built, and more of the beautiful things that make Northside, Northside, without having to slow down.

This will allow us to finish the year on budget with a fully funded new roof.

During our weekend services Nov. 8-16th, there will be physical commitment cards for you to take home and pray over. Our commitment weekend will be Nov. 22nd & 23rd, and you can bring your card back to put it in the receptacles. Great question! On stage, we shared that our goal is to finish the year on budget and fully fund the roof. Here’s what that means:

  • Our regular ministry budget for the remaining eight weeks is about $1.2 million (at $155,000 per week).
  • After insurance coverage, the roof project still requires $1.4 million. Together, that’s $2.6 million. The “Raise the Roof” campaign goes into our main fund so we can cover both needs without depleting reserves or limiting future ministry opportunities.

Thank you so much for your willingness to help! We have already been fully compensated by insurance prior to transitioning to a new provider. After reviewing three competitive bids, we selected a roofing vendor. Additionally, we have obtained new insurance coverage, which requires our roofs to be replaced. We truly appreciate your heart to serve!

The roof covers about 143,000 square feet—that’s roughly the size of two and a half football fields! It includes the main auditorium, the west auditorium, and the main building.

Work on the main auditorium roof is scheduled to begin in Q4 of 2025, with completion dependent on weather conditions. The other two roofs will be addressed in mid-spring.

We do have reserves, but using them would significantly deplete our savings and shift our focus to rebuilding reserves instead of investing in ministry opportunities. The campaign allows us to fund the roof and maintain financial health for future ministry.

We filed a claim for hail damage on the main auditorium, and insurance is covering that work. Unfortunately, the claim resulted in our previous insurance provider terminating coverage. To obtain new insurance, we are required to replace the other two roof areas—the west auditorium and the main building—which is why additional funding is needed.
