Chill: October 10

This week’s readings are based on the “Chill” sermon series. For this series, we are looking at God’s command to rest and the implications this has on our lives. Start resting with God by slowing down, reading the text, and then letting it read you.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

“Be still” is a powerful phrase. Jesus said these same words to calm a storm in Mark 4:39. It is a phrase of calming, stopping, and focusing.

Would you use this phrase to describe your life? Where might God be asking you to be still? Prayerfully ponder this question today.
