Jim Miesner grew up in a small town outside of Ithaca, NY, and went to college in Buffalo, NY where he earned a degree in video but even more importantly met his wife. Shortly after graduating, they married and moved to Rochester, NY where he found Christ and started two successful video production companies. In addition to videography, Jim also writes stories and has been blessed to ghostwrite for a popular children's author. When he is not filming, editing, or writing, Jim enjoys picking up toys, washing dishes, being the voice of a stuffed dog, dressing up as a princess for tea parties, or pretending to be Gecko from PJ Masks. Well, at least these are the things his wife and kids enjoy. He often confuses things he enjoys and things he finds himself doing, so it's hard to tell what he enjoys at times. If one thing is clear, however, it's that Jim loves his work. He believes that storytelling is incredibly important not just because it shapes and defines who we are and how we look at the world, but because stories are important to God. Jesus, after all, used parables as a tool to express the nature of heaven and God and help connect people to Him. After many years in upstate, NY, Jim, his wife (Joy), and his two kids (Abbie and Zach) are incredibly excited to become a part of the Northside family and look forward to seeing how God uses their gifts to glorify Him.
